Hi everyone! I'm from Louisiana, about 45 miles north of Lake Charles. I was just doing a web search for daylilies when this wonderful forum came up. I couldn't stop myself....I had to join this group! LOL! I love growing tropical plants like bananas, hibiscus, brugmansia, daturas, and just started growing daylilies. I'm a member of Garden Web, Brugmansia Growers International, ABADS and now Garden Stew. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Well, Hello Dollie.....sorry I just couldn't help myself :-D Welcome to the Stew from north Texas. I know you will have a good time here, we have several other Louisana members. Lots of good info and lots of fun to be had also.
Welcome Dollie from Michigan. I too am interested in daylilies. I only have a couple but am starting a new bed that I want to use only daylilies in. We should both learn together here about them.
Welcome from south Louisiana {French Settlement south of BR on the Amite river} I think you will fit right in here My DW Cajunbelle is a day lily fanatic.
Hiya Dollie. I could just copy your plant list, I love all of those, too, as well as Orchids and Hedychiums and Coleus . . . and so on :-D
Greetings from West Lothian in Scotland. We'll all have to share our photographs of daylilies when they bloom as they are the most beautiful flowers. So glad you found us Dollie and I'm sure you'll love it here. :-D
Lot of you folks from Louisiana on this site. Welcome aboard from Arizona where most folks think all we can grow are scorpions and snakes and cactus. True enough many places here.
Wow, another member from the great state of Louisiana, Sportsmans Paradise. I kinda like daylilies too, although this was not alway the case. Anyway, welcome to the Stew, glad to have you around. Hope we can be of help in your quest for more info.

Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome! I already love this forum! I agree, alot of Cajuns are on this forum. LOL Desert Rat, I just flew into Phoenix two weeks ago. My daughter is getting advanced training at the police dept., starting at 4:00 in the morning. No daycares are open at that time, so here I am helping out with my grandaughter until July. However, before arriving in Phoenix that was my impression of AZ. Snakes, Cactus, & Scorpions. How pleased I was to find that Phoenix is beautiful! Palm trees, large cactus with bright colored flowers, orange and lemon trees loaded with fruit, and mountains as a backdrop! I've seen some of the prettiest sunsets & sunrises. I'm enjoying my stay, but still miss being home in Louisiana. Thank you again for the welcome. Dollie
