Won't waste beer on plants . I haven't really documented what Coffee does to my plants but like every organic waste it goes into the garden .

    beer on plants...i swear

My mom has been putting beer on plant leaves as long as I can remember. She would put someone beer on either a cloth or paper towel and rub down the plant leaves (in door plants that is...don't think she would have time to do all of the outdoor ones...haha).

I will ask her tonight what the exact benefits are and how she found about it :D

I started with coffee pretty young, married at 17 and a minor, not old enough for alcohol ,i was a regular coffee drinker. I was drinking coffee with my mom as a kid. When my coffee went cold, i'd say well this plant could use a drink, since coffee had water in it,then i'd see that it was doing good in my plants, and i just kept doing it.
Pink, i'll wait for your moms answer, lol.

I used to have a row of plants each side of my garden stairs and one day I spilt a ton of beer on them. I was absolutly furious, I had spent ages looking after them and they looked great - plus im terrible with flowers. A few weeks later you could easily see that they had grown FAR bigger than the others. I was very pleased but didnt have the guts to try it on the other side. They are all dead now so let that be a lesson to you - alchohol in large doses, in the long run, is bad!!

So I kept meaning to ask my mom about the beer and finally remembered this morning. You guys are going to laugh when I explain this to you. I asked her mom what is the whole deal with the beer and plant leaves, like why do you do it? And she responds you do it when you are dusting...it makes the leaves all shiny...and I'm like that's it?? And apparently it is! HAHAHAH Hope I didnt get anyone's hopes up that there was a more legit. answer than that :D
