I found this old photo of one of my previous efforts (possibly of six years ago), and thought it might be of interest to others...use of decorative 'props', etc. The flagon had a handy hole in the back, presumably where a tap once went (?) so it was easy just to pass the pipe from the pump into it. Pete.
I bet that sounds even better than it looks Pete I wonder why there was a hole in the bottom of the flagon in the first place?
I've used a 'prop' at the top of my waterfall too Pete - not a flagon but a strange carved stone with a hole in it. :-D Your photographs are smashing - keep them coming.
we bought a stone frog that did not look right just by the pond so its had a hole drilled in its mouth and is now the pond feed not as though you can see much of it its covered in moss. G.
Me too - though I think the ones I really like are the whatcha-callums where the water pours down and just 'disappears' into the rocks and plants to cycle around without the standing water to care for.
They call them pondless waterfalls, but they are not as easy as you might think to tend. Watch for a blog on them.
I would love instructions on building a pondless water feature.... I have also heard them called disappearing fountains! I want one to "appear" in my yard!!! mgf~ :sete_082:
