Frosty here in Essex, but the sun is out and the sky is blue! I am sitting here with the sun beaming down on me!

Baccybabs Have "spoken" to my nephew in Erith today. Hopefully he is bringing my sister (83) up to see me on Thursday. He didn't mention snow, are you further down? Very heavy frost this morning in the Fens (forgot to put my car in the garage!!!) but we have had some nice sunshine although the wind was bitter.

Baccybabs. Glad to hear the snow has almost gone.
Yes we did live in Mayfield from 1967-1972. I still hanker after the area. We moved to the Fens in 1972 to fulfill my late husband 's ambition to own a garage/ filling station and haulage business. We just couldn't afford such a business in Mayfield. I really loved the place. We bought a two bedroom bungalow with over 4 acres. We then had two more bedrooms built on as two more children were added to the family..Although I have always got on with the Fen people I find the landscape pretty boring. Although husband and I were S.E.London born and bred we always loved the countryside.
    Best wishes Lorna

I heard on the news last night that Phoenix has been 102 days without rain. It was a record, it said. We've been without measurable rain since Oct. 13th, 2005. Today is nice and sunny and I went out and did some raking of old leaves yard debris. It is 50F in the shade and probably get another 5 to 10 degs warmer before the day is out. Dooley
