HELLO EVERYONE... I'M NEW! :-D I live in Caldwell, NJ, and have been a gardener and artist for over 20 years. I started gardening on my fire escape in Hoboken, NJ when I moved there after college to "make it" as a famous New York City artist. I have since married and moved to the suburbs where I have a much larger flower garden and a 500 sq ft art studio! My 2 year old daughter is learning flower names and colors and helps me weed and pick flowers for still lifes. As I mentioned, I am a professional painter for over 20 years. I own my own studio/gallery and also exhibit in galleries around the country. My oil on linen paintings are of florals, still lifes and landscapes. I love to paint garden landscapes and seascapes with gardens in them. I have wonderful neighbors that bring my their cherished garden flowers and also invite me to their gardens. It is a dream to be able to paint what I love and especially have other people enjoy them too! Wishing all the Garden Stew people a flower-filled day!\
Hi Lisa and a cheery welcome to GardenStew You sound like a very talented artist, I would have loved to have been good at art but my hands don't follow the commands of my brain when I try. Look forward to your input to the community. I'm sure you will learn lots from us too. // Frank
Thank you, Frank. I am excited to be part of the group! I'm sure your artistic talent is revealed in your garden's palette. warm wishes, Lisa

Small world, huh? Your paintings are glorious. WOW! FYI, your work assistant looks to be a bit young... the labor authorities might come after you.
Those paintings of yours are terrific!!! The glass vase in the first one really looks like glass - marvelous!! I have to say though that your little studio assistant is most definately your greatest masterpiece without a doubt. :-D
Thank you Eileen! You are very sweet to say so. By the way, did you paint the bird in your signature? just wondering...
