Hello... I'm hoping to get a few suggestions for an 8-10 ft shrub/tree to conceal a gap in a fence corner. It gets low to medium light. It gets plenty of water since it is in a drainage swale. This is my first post. Looks like a nice forum. Tally ho... Paul
I just planted a bunch of butterfly bushes, they are supposed to reach 8 ft or more and can do alright in partial shade. My grandparents have podocarpus planted in their yard, it makes a tall "fence".
Shrubs What about a buddleia, you can get them in a few colours, i have a white, lilac and a purple one, they are good for the wildlife, very easy to look after and you can have them grow as tall or short as you like .... they have a wonderful scent and we even have a bat that comes and feeds off the moths that love the flowers....... Think we`re talking about the same thing Hummingbird xxx
lol, great minds DO think alike! I just planted Empire Blue, Bicolor, and Black Knight.....I can't wait until they bloom!
Well... looks like everybody's on the same page with buddleia/butterfly bushes. I'll check it out. Thanks so much! Paul
I would like to suggest Doublefile Viburnum or one of the other types of Viburnum. Or you could use Privet by not shearing it and allowing it to gain its full height.
