So glad I wasn't around when that concrete was still wet. I always have an urge to 'leave my mark' on wet concrete!!!! Things have certinly moved on a pace Dan and it's beginning to look really good. It looks as though the library is going to be double its size.
It's going be to great having all that extra space isn't it Dan!! Wish I could be there for the official opening.

The addition is painted inside and out now. They're trimming out thew doors and windows even as I type, and the carpet is supposed to go down tomorrow.
He already finished the job. He over-ordered supplies, paid his own workers too much, and wants the contractor to cover the difference. The contractor declined.
Quite right too!! It's not the contractors fault the man can't run his end of things properly. Anyway he can use the surplus paint on another job I'm sure. As for paying his men too much - surely he knows what their hourly rate is if he gives them their wages.
Dan it has taken over 10 years of political fighting in my town, but ground was broke on our new library ast week, I am soo exicted, as I use to have to teach the kids in a moldy always wey basement...you are far ahead of us, but isnt it soo exciting !! I hope to see it when it is done...
