not sure if this is the right place . . . I have seen these cute little (expensive) arrangements in stores. The hena nd chicks are in a shoe or a tea cup, etc. I want to re-create this look, but, shouldn't they have drainage holes? The ones I,ve seen don't have drainage, but I don't want to kill the plant!!
I always think it's best to have drainage holes in a planter for any type of plant April. Hen and chicks don't need a lot of water but I still think that drainage is important.
h an chicks Try planting some in a large cup an see how it works.. Mine grow by the chimney and I never water them .....Rain does.. They just get by themselves. b
Look really close at the ones in the store. I thought the same thing about a pot I seen last week but, when I got to messing with it I notice that they had a clear plastic liner. It has drain holes and left about a half inch space in the bottom.
liners That is true some have it, But doubt if the closed ones do......The reason for that is , so they dont drain on your floors or whatever they sit on. b
