DH asked me this question yesterday- I think he just wanted me to have something interesting to think about besides housework, lol! He asked me to think awhile about, If I could do anything with the rest of my life, without regard to my disability, insecurity about abilities, or any other limitation, what would it be?
I've been having such fun just letting my mind go on this, I thought I'd put it here and see what other people come up with!

That's a great question Netty. And a tough one  Ideally it would be something that gives back to society, challenging but satisfying and academic. What that is though is the question :) I'll get back to you on it.

Well, I think if I could do anything, I'd teach piano lessons like I do now, just in a new location. Somewhere near Durango, Colorado would be good.

I would work on art projects from dusk to dawn. When I tired of that I would read endlessly. Oh yeah, and give back to society. :p

Wow that IS a good question. I love what I do already...

But given anything to do I would choose a few specific areas of my job now. I love to buy for and design the layout of our market and greenhouse merchandise.

If I didn't have to make money to live from off it, I'd love to draw and paint.

After that? I'd love to sit, hold his hand, look into his eyes, and talk to my husband all day. (don't know if he'd enjoy it as much as me.) :smt052

That's an easy one for me. I would love to retire and stay on my place and fix it up just like I envision, take care of Mom the way she should be taken care of and have time to work for God the way I would like to.

I love questions like this :D I would travel all over the world! Then I would be a hanggliding pilot and take people for rides (mucho money!), then a master gardener, then I would be a wildlife rehabber :D Oh, and Id rescue stray animals and either find somewhere for them to live, or they could stay with me on a large farm I would have :D

I would go to Germany then travel the world taking photos for national geographic.

Oh, man, you got me with the wildlife rehab. Growing up, I rescued wild bunnies, bugs of all sorts, even a baby chickenhawk that had fallen from it's nest and been abandoned. That would be sweet! I keep getting stuck on "what's realistic" but one thing I'm firm with, it would have to be something that Matters or I just couldn't dedicate myself to it. And I'm a leeeettle worried about where That might lead, since the same idea led some good friends to give up everything and now they work, literally, with now-former cannibals and such! No, I'm not kidding!
But like I say, the question is alot tougher than I thought it would be. The "being realistic" thing is a real barrier to daydreaming. But, at this particular minute, I'm all for rescuing wild animals to rehab them, photographing them to create sketches of them, and traveling all over the planet to do so sounds dreamy! (I'm a lousy photographer, MPhotos, but fine for reference sketch purposes :) ) OK! Where do I sign up, lol!

I'm with Cajunbelle. The only thing I would add is that I'd spend more time with my sister and her family

I would love to do some kind of scientific/medical research. I would also love to do something to help couples have children that can't and help all the children that are here that are abused and neglected. In my free time I would do crafts!
