Hi, I'm from WV. Found you guy by mistake, Or maybe fate. I work with the public for 10 to 12 hours a day and by the time it is done I just want to spend time in my garden to relax. Recently I decided to create my "friendship garden" to represent all the people who mean so much to me. All the flower have the name of some I know in their name Becca lynn
daylily, Evelyn rose, Big john Hosta ect. I had no idea how big this project was going to be, but I am sure it will be a interesting one . I have already met some very interesting people along the way and I am just getting started. I never realize the amount people who garden. Around here people do not much "flowering" As they call it. Well enough for now. I'm off to see what else I can find.

Hi Jenni and a very warm welcome to GardenStew. Very interesting project you have proposed, I think it's a great idea. When you walk around the garden you will be reminded of all of those people. I'm sure they will be flattered too. What stage are you at in the project?

Your friendship garden sounds wonderful! You would not believe the suff people know in here. If you have a problem finding a plant I bet you could post the name and someone could help you find a match. Good Luck!

    Hi there Jenni,

Your friendship garden must be a delight to all those you have plants named after them. Is it hard to find plants with the correct names that will grow in your area? Are they all cultivated plants or are there some wild species incorporated in your project too? It certainly sounds fascinating. :-D

    WELCOME to GardenStew!!! :D

eileen, It would be easier if I had a greenhouse because Orchids and plumeria have every name known to man but alas I don't and be sides I kind of like the idea of my garden weathering the storm on to speak. I want plants that will stand the test of time and multiply, kind of like the people in my life, and then I can share it with others. I know my husband says I am a hopeless romantic. I am just getting started basicly the list drawing ect. But hopefully when I'm done it will be as beautiful as the people in repesents and as inspiring
