It's just a Great Year here for Life. The place is hopping. Hubby took this pic of a grey treefrog one night on the patio. Yes, he sometimes is green. I mean the frog of course. A beautiful green treefrog on the patio also in my koi pond. Leopard frogs are one of our most terrestial frogs and so are often found a long way fron water. There is often a lot of color variation in them also. These toads are making us some tadpoles! It's in the air here.
Frogs and toads have such character, no wonder they are liked so much. I have met people who are deathly afraid of them however. Fantasic photos Bethie.
What a wide variety of frog colours Bethie. Ours do come in various shades of browns and greens too but aren't as nicely patterned as your Leopard frogs
I snitched the first froggie, he will be a sketch soon, so cute! Wish I could sneak onto a neighbors property, they built a pond like, 40 years ago and stocked it with nonnative bullfrogs- they've never left the pond & I'd love to get a shot of one. We only have the tiny stickytoe variety here.
Great pictures Bethie. I've only seen a few tree frogs around here this year. No toads or frogs - I wonder what happened to them all. Usually after a good rain they are hopping all over the yard and road.
Great pics! All we have are the toads and they are everywhere. Once in a while we have a frog but just not enough water where we live I guess.
What great pictures and handsome looking wildlife. We used to have a toad out back but haven't seen it in a few years.
Great looking pictures. Our native frogs here in Australia are in danger of becoming extinct since the introduction of the Cane Toad.
