Hello everyone, I'm so glad that I found this forum! My husband and I recently purchased a home in southern, coastal Maine with lots of mature landscaping. I'm probably what you would consider a novice gardener, but I do enjoy it. This yard has been so well planned that I am still learning what we have as something new is always coming into bloom. It is beautiful and inspiring. I am looking for some advice about planting under existing, very mature trees and where there is exposed root systems. I would really like to create a privacy screening that would help block out neighbors on the one side and we have been restricted from upgrading to a 6 ft. fence. Part of this planting would occur under mature trees, partially shady conditions but without exposed tree roots. Any ideas where I should post this dilemma? Thanks in advance for the input!
