Everyone here is talking about harvesting seed. I got jealous that I don't have any flowers to harvest from, so I went to my M-I-L house and harvested some of hers! Of course, she doesn't do this and can't tell me what I should do with them now! Help Please!

I never collect seed, so I'll wait eagerly for someone to inform us.

Well gardengreenie, if they are annual seed store them in a dry place until you can put them outside. If they are perennial seeds I usually plant them outside in the fall. Of course there's always the seed exchange too :)

GG, they are best stored in paper envelopes, that way they won't sweat, which will ruin the seed. Make sure they are throughly dried before you store them and put the name of the seed and the date on them. I just found some hibiscus seed in a dish where I had them drying. Of course I was going to remember which ones they were, yeah right. I have no idea.

Thanks for all the help! Ya'll are great! They are a yellow daylily variety. My M-I-L dug up the plant I collected the seeds from, and gave that to me as well yesterday!
