These next two are of a real bright star that I been seeing real early (before daylite) in the morning. A few people have said it could even be a planet. It doesn't show up real good, but its just above the flag pole.

I always thought moonshine was something to be drunk, but this is a lot better.

I saw this bright star early Friday morning and wondered what it was. Its big and very bright. Have not read or heard anything about it so it must be a very close star.
I did read, this summer, that a planet was found that is nearer to earth than mars.

My camera didn't capture the star real well, it was brighter then it shows up in the picture. There is a flag & pole there, but the star is suppose to be right above the flag.

Yes, how beautful your moon looks in the night sky. I got up early and saw the moon and took a few shots of it as the early light was coming on. The moon never fails to fascinate most of us. :stew1:

Last Friday's full moon was the closest perigee this year....meaning it's orbit brought it closer to the earth than at any other time this year.

If you were looking at the moon at the time it was at is fullest you saw a slightly smaller moon. Six hours later it was at it's closest point and appeared larger and brighter.
