just about impossible to say,I fall in love with a different one every day ...........but if you were to tie me down to just the one it would be rock rose,so many colours and so delicate yet still very hardy.

I just love zinnias, roses, and anemones. Next year I'd like to grow more daisies and coreopsis as well. :-D :stew1: :stew2:

That's a very diffucult question to answer.... I'm tempted to say I would select a flower with a lovely scent like the Indian Jasmine or Champa, which we offer in our Poojas ( prayer rituals ) to our Gods and which we Indian women wear in our hair as often as we can,
    but on the other hand,
a beautiful flower like the lotus, which doesn't have any scent and which we can't ( and won't ) wear in our hair, though we offer it in Poojas,
ALSO equally vies for the first place!

    I give up!
And I hear a favourite hymn, coming as if from a distance....
"All Nature sings and round me rings, The music of the Spheres"!

Hmmmmm..... tough question to answer, but I will try:

    Orchids (any variety)
    Bird of Paradise
    Lavender
    Hostas (all varieties)
    Anthyrium
    English Ivy
    Liriope
    Blue Fescue
Sedge Grass (especially the Bronze variety)
    Sea Holly
Passiflora (the more exotic the better!)
    Foxglove
    Jack in a Pulpit
Cushion Moss (I adore mosses of all varieties!)

I had better stop now.... I will go on and on and on and on....

I love them all . . . but if I had to pick . . . it would be iris . . . in honor of my paternal grandmother, pansies in honor of my maternal grandmother, french marigolds in honr of my mother . . . they are all gone on to our creator now . . . and I do love sweet williams, moonflowers, peonies . . . and my indoor favorite is the African Violet . . . If the truth be known, I never met a flower that I did not like!

A rose by any other name is still a rose and I love them all. Grandifloras, floribundas, china teas, hybrid teas. If I could inhale their fragrace daily, I probably would never exhale. The colors of the rose makes me want to sing. I stalk garden centers looking at their beauty. My favorite shades are peach from shocking to pale. My spirits are lifted. I have a sad love affair, obsession with the "ROSE." Enjoy nature and enjoy life.

I would have to say my favorite plant ever is the night blooming jasmine. i remember the sweet tropical smell when falling asleep, an waking to the faint smell in the morning. now i would have to say the wildflowers, because if you have ever looked really close to the petals of the many varieties here, you would know where the art of Rosemåling comes from,,, at least that is my theory,,, ;)

Sooo hard to choose!! As I was reading all your posts I though oh I love them too and them and them! So just to name a few:
clematis- my neighbor has them all over his mailbox and it is glorious!
Hollyhocks-I have some seeds from a friend and I think they are doubles!
Hydrangea- There is something fantastic about all those tiny flowers adding up to one huge one.

My favoritest plant has become nasturtiums. They come up early and stay long, grow cheerfully in the worst of soils or the best of soils, they are a good companion plant for almost everything, everybody here loves eating the flowers. Everybody loves the salads with nasturtium leaves in them, too, as long as they aren't told what's in them. :D

My favourite flowering plants are the Mirabilis jalapa, most Lathyrus sorts...and the runner bean "sunset", which is not only a delicatly beautiful flower (and unique for this class of veg) but also produces a delicious edible bean!
