What do you miss the most about spring/summer? We had a few warm days (80degrees) this week. The weather is making me miss the warmer days in the yard. I miss 2 things. The critters in the yard is one. Second is a walk in the yard after work to see what has grown or bloomed.

I miss the long, light days, the sights and sounds of all the wildlife and the colours in my garden. :(

I'm looking forward to the bird song, the light, and the smell of green.

I miss the light giving us longer days.
The green grass and the colors in the garden. I mustn't forget the warmth of the sun, the smell of fresh cut grass.
The birds singing as they return. In the meantime we all can have fun planning out our next years garden.

I miss the clean-up and planting that gets done in the spring.
In the summer I miss the late evenings in the allotment, chatting with by neighbour-gardners. The stillness and smells of twilight as the moths begin to arise from the foilage, and the sweetr fragrence of the night-blooming flowers.
I swear, I spend almost as much time chatting as actually working. chuckle :)
Someone else I know says that too. hahaha

I miss the longer days and the heat. And the colors outside. And being able to slip on sandals and head outside...it is SUCH a chore to get all bundled up just to go outside!

i miss the light, the sun, getting my hands dirty an playing in the dirt. The smell of the salt from the sea, an the smell of the grass, an walking barefoot thru it. The smell of fish, an open wood fires with cook outs. the smell of fresh laundry dried in the sun when you put your clothes on. The tourists an the long sun filled nights.

okay who posted the original thread,,,, now i am totally anxious for summer to get here,,, an i was doing so good with my crafts an canning and reading. ;) :D

Sorry Biita, it was me. I'm doing a terrible job distracting myself. I've have lots of things to do until the warmer months but I keep daydreaming about warm weather, green everywhere, flowers, my little lizards, the frogs singing by the pond, hummingbirds, squirrels playing, watching the sun go down while sitting in the swing, and the smell of jasime.
Sjoerd..that's great that you have a neighbors who garden. My neighbors stay inside watching tv or on their computer.
Oh yes...I miss cutting grass too.

I miss the colors of the garden. I miss the WARM walks on the beach, the smell of the salt air is different in the winter. I miss the fog too, lol.
