I love antique. I'm not big on the modern look and find the quality much better with antiques.

Depends on what it is but I lean towards antique as some of the modern stuff is just too wacky for me.

I also like antiques and the old . . . they add essence and warmth.

I prefer antique if I find the right piece. New is often less well-made.

Definitely antique. Far better made than modern, much more versitile, made with more common sense than things these days.
I bought some wardrobes not long ago at Ikea- nice clean lines look shabby really fast with the slightest scuff, and they already have a wobble to them. Wish I'd have held out and saved a bit more for some antique ones.

Antiques. Mos def. They are better made than most of today's junk. I like that they have had a whole life that I know nothing about. 8)

I love the look of the modern stuff. Though I wish it were made more sturdy. Would love a blend of the modern designs with the quality of the antiques.

Antique lasts while modern fades. If you like to change, like to have different looks from time to time, go for modern. But if you like to have sometimng once forever, go for antique.

We have antique styles for living room, family room, dining room and bedroom; but modern styles for office, workshop, sunroom. We are going to remodel kitchen next year. Probablly we will go for a mix.

I love antiques, bring on the wood, i say. the quality is so much better an usually what i love most is the character, wear an tear of the piece. BUT, if it comes to sofa's, the newer the better, only because to me the lines are built more casual an relaxing, not so stiff an straight up an down lines that when you sit you feel like your at attention. same with chairs, the newer the better, but then that only goes for living room or family room furniture. surround those with antiques an to me its comforting.

I have always liked antique but being in the business for so long and everyone screaming for antique gold and red, antique neutrals, and all those colors that almost everyone requests just to play it safe, I have to say that I prefer antique with a punch and subdued modern.
