What a neat thing. Looks like you've got a winner there, Eileen.
I had to chuckle when I had a little fantasy of using that flame-thrower. hahahaha
I can imagine that you could use it for a number of things...I do have my doubts about the bindweed though, to be honest. I mean, it might well cauterize the bit at the plant-end of the root... but it it would have luck further back than that...I dunno. I surely hope so. I'm always looking for a new method of combating it.
Good luck with that...and let us know how you fare.

I love these things! Hubby's been using it to melt the ice on the walkways during our ice storms this winter. Now I've got a new job for him this summer too, LOL

I have a weed burner too now. We finally found one almost exactly like yours Eileen.

Anyone interested in having their very own can find one
on the Northern Tool and Equipment website or at one of their stores.

Hi all, Could you use a regular blow torch and just hold it close? Or is it just the long handle that makes it convienent?

I wouldn't attempt to use a blow torch as you could burn yourself with it quite easily. These burners are made with long handles to make sure your hands are nowhere near the flames or the hot metal end.
