We just bought a house and need help identifying these trees and shrubs in our front yard: 1) The palm tree in this picture. 2) Also the 2 tall, skinny evergreens in the background of the above picture. 3) The tall palm tree in this picture. 4) This is a pygmy date palm, right? 5) What is this? (Some type of a fan palm)? Thank you!
pygmy date is correct. the tall palm i believe is a washingtonia robusta or mexican fan palm. the small fan i cant tell does it have teeth on the frons? and the first 1 not sure but will try to find out for you.
No teeth on the fronds of the short palm (#5 above). Could the two tall palm trees (#1 and #3 above) be both Mexican Fan Palms? Thanks!!!!
after another look. maybe it is a mexican fan palm. the california fan palm also looks very similar. both have teeth on frons. no teeth on the shorty ok i will do some homework 4 you here is a pretty good plant search place. only get 10 searches per day or 20 if you register but non the less packed full of photos and info. plant search
