Lovely blooms. I like the orangy yellow rose of yours, does it have a scent? That pink peony is really putting on a show.
It always amazes me to see piccies of coleus growing outside. I can only grow them indoors or put them out in pots in the summer. I would love to have a border edged with them as they're such colourful plants.
WOW Wd. where to start? you have so much in bloom. I love all the pretty colors. The coleus I have started by seed this year-I like how yours is in dark color. I love dianthus of any color. I guess so much so, I accidentally threw mine out, oh, how I've kicked myself several times for that! Your roses are looking good and your peonies- how beautiful. I like your flower garden. Is that in front of your house? You can tell you have spent many hours making things look nice. Thanks for the show.
Wonderful blooms and the coleus color is so pretty.I can't remember ever seeing that color. You just have so many beauties blooming there.
thanks Thanks, folks. I truly have not worked as much as I should, or as much as the gardens need at this house. We moved in in March 2005 - it was Winter & all brown. Who knew this place was the center of Lucifer's weed-growing operations? I was so angry when I found out just how neglected this yard had been, I wanted to move immediately. Slowly, I've gotten more & more control (like that's possible!) over parts of the yard. I have one area next to our barn that is the last place I need to jump on and it's my plan this Summer. It is looking better than 3 years ago, but it is not where I want it to be. I am careful with my photographs, to try to not expose the unsightly junk in my pictures. Sneaky, huh? The coleus was a complete impulse buy. I was at the nursery buying petunias & saw the coleus come in on a truck and I snatched up 4 of them for my shady areas. I like the color of this one too. I'll be buying more, but right now, I still have 6 new columbine & 3 flats of marigolds to get in the ground before I buy anything else.
Great pics WTxDaddy. The pinkish/purpleish columbine is just like the one I have. Everything you showed us is really looking great. Thanks for sharing.
What gorgeous flowers and apricots!!! Spring has certainly sprung in your area too!!! They are calling for frost here tonight (AKA Blackberry Winter. . . @;~( )
i thoroughly enjoyed those pictures. Coleus, Hibiscus and Gerbera are definitely some of my favorites. All of my attempts with Coleus fail after germination. Your picture gives me hope to try again...or just buy one!
