Stew Crew, Last weekend my son Jake found this butterfly at the farm. The night before we had some really high winds and some torrential rain. What a survivor. I love to watch movies and this butterfly reminded me of the American movie "The Memphis Belle". The story of a bomber crew during WWII. The Memphis Belle was a plane. There are a couple of scenes where all the men stand out on the tarmac after the missions and count the planes as they come in. This butterfly reminded me of one of those planes that came in and the wings were just torn up from the abuse it had taken. When I see things like this I realize that sometimes life is beautiful and everything seems to go right. Then there are those times when the wings seem to fall off. It's wings all tattered and torn but it still lands. I don't know how much damage a butterfly can take and still survive, I did see a Red Admiral in my yard last year with half of one wing torn off and he was flitting around just fine so many your beauty will survive too. The Memphis Belle is one of my favortie movies.
