    Hi.
I have a area on edge of my lawn where I have a line of wild raspberries growing. Have worked with them (built trellis), and they have produced for about 10 years now.
Last year, or maybe year before, I noticed that got several canes, and new plants that did not produce any berrys, were slightly different in color and had no thorns....... What could this be????
Note that I have had canes, in this area, come up over the years that have died with the bent over purple end problem.
I did pull out several of my 'thornless' problem berries last year, but expect may have more this year.
In general, this whole lawn-edge line of berries has pretty much died out.
    Thx.
    Bob

What do you mean? As for the thornless canes, they wouldn't get fruit until the second yr (biennal).

I am talking about 2 year old canes........
Bent over purple end problem....... an insect problem which I cannot remember name of, where shows up in new shoots when are about 3-9 inches tall when cane droops over and basically dies due to the bug damage.
But note that this 'bug' problem is not what I am asking about...... only was put there for additional info, just in case is connected to my thornless, berryless cane problem.
