I'm a bit flabbergasted at the speed of things outside. We had a warm Saturday (we were away, of course!), then rain yesterday and another sunny, but fairly chilly, day today, and things are hurrying to put their blooms forth. Here are some of the plants blooming now:

    The Meconopsis "Lingholm":

The orchids, this is Cypripedium parviflorum:

This orchid is a blow-in wildflower, Dactylorhiza maculata. It looks like it enjoys the care and attention it's receiving:

The Lonicera caprifolium, wild honeysuckle. This normally blooms around mid-summer, so it's three weeks early:

    The Lewisia are doing well:

The little Phlox still at it, and looking like snow:

The Dimorphotheca has fragrant, evergreen leaves:

    This is Oxalis emneaphylla:

    And Oxalis "Ione Hecker":

The Viola "Solli" has started too:

I've got an ornamental grass in a planter. It tends to be very invasive. I wondered why it looked so cut, and today I found out why:

As if we haven't got enough grass for Snuske around the house! :D

Wonderful pics Droopy. I really like the Meconopsis, the Cypripedium parviflorum, and both of the Oxalis. But, they are all beautiful and Snuske is adorable. Thanks for sharing.

Fabulous photos and how fantastic to have orchids in bloom in your garden! Wish they would blow into mine and thrive like that. Wonderful!

Wow, your flowers look really great. The Meconopsis is such a pretty color. I really like the Oxalis before too. I don't think I have ever seen those before.
Cats are wonderful aren't they? ;)

Well...I just don't know what to say-- your pics this time just sweep me away. Things are really happening there. The Lewisias and little Phloxes are doing quite well indeed.
That Dactyloriza is making a sturdy and lovely entree, isn't it?
But of course, the Meconopsis "Lingholm" are the ones that I really admire most. I received some Lingholm seeds and am trying to germinate them at the moment. So far, nothing's happening. :(
I'm always amazed and admire your variety.
    Looking good.

Oohhhh Droopy! Your blooms are gorgeous!
I'll have to add a white phlox to the garden - mine are all pinks. And blue Poppies have been on my wish list forever!
Orchids hate me so thanks for sharing yours.

Thank you all! :stew1: The Oxalis are fun. They've got lovely foliage and the blooms are so big for their size. There's still one that hasn't bloomed, but it was moved last year so I guess it's sulking.

We never dared to try orchids until five years ago, when a friend suggested I tried the C. parviflorum. It thrived, so now we've got a few more. The wild-growing ones are so pretty, but we're not allowed to dig them up, so we're thankful if one suddenly appears.
