The snow is finally gone and vegetable gardening has began!!! Along with the nasty blackflies!!! I am very excited about joining; hopefully I can help others and they can help me!!!
Hi Jo Jo, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. Besides swatting blackflies, do you have any other hobbies? We really like pictures of just about anything...gardens, hobbies, kiddos, pets, local scenery other than the blackflies.
We have tons of blackflies here in Northern vermont as well...They are going to be very bad this summer thanks to some strange white nose bat disease that has killed off a majority of the bats in the state. UGH...We use original scented bounce sheets to keep them away. Put bounce in your hat or the neck and sleeves of your shirts. It works!
Hobbies Yes I have lots of hobbies. I love to knit and cook for my family. Vegetable gardening and a few flowers in boxes on my front porch. Baseball is my passion!! I love the Boston Red Sox and attending my son's baseball game. He is a pitcher on his high school team. I have a golden retriever and a fat money cat.
Hello Jo Jo and a big, warm welcome from West Lothiaa in Scotland. I don't have many blackflies at the moment but do have plenty of the dreaded midges around!! You must post photographs of your retriever and cat as we do love animal piccies here.
