Just wanted to share the completed 1000 piece puzzle we worked on a few weeks ago when we were getting so much snow. We had such a good time working on it, getting sort of obsessed with it at times
I do believe that working on puzzles can really sharpen the mind!

Very nice indeed. We've got a 6000 piece one just waiting for us to become old age pensioners.

What a lovely jigsaw Kay. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could see all those species of woodpecker in the wild just like in your puazzle?

I'm trying to put together a globe jigsaw I got from my eldest son for Christmas. I'm finding it very difficult though as I'm hopeless at geography and keep connecting all the wrong countries to each other.  I really should have listened better to my teacher when I was younger.

    That's a nice one!
I've done a few 1000 piece puzzles this winter too!

I don't know that I would let myself start a 6000 piece puzzle until retirement either Droopy. It seems once a puzzle is started I can't leave it alone until it is done!

I finally finished this one a couple of weeks ago. 1000 pieces of swirly design and color put a few more gray hairs on my head. Used Modpodge on it and got it framed.

We are definitely framing the woodpeckers, after all that work, we couldn't bear to un-do it! Right now, we have a scene of Mt. Rushmore, and then a hummingbird will be after that. Its good way to pass the time, waiting for spring.

Wow, those are crazy. Your Woodpecker one is cool and I bet it was hard. I also like Netty's fish one and Toni's one also. I too have done a couple 1000 piece puzzles and here they are:

Wow, we all picked out really pretty puzzles to work on. I have another smaller one to do during the hot part of summer when I can't get out and garden. It's a 750 piece one of birdhouses and flowers.

Have any of your gone to jigzone.com to work puzzles?
I try to do at least one a day, keeps the old brain agile, I do the 240 piece square cut.

That is a very nice puzzle, Kay! How long did it take you to complete it?
It's just the thing for the winter.

It looks like something that Daisy is going to need. ;)

Those puzzles that the rest of you showed look nice as well. I haven't done a puzzle in ages. We even have puzzle frames over here...or used to, I should say.
    I like a good puzzle.

Flowerfreak ~ those are beautiful puzzles! I think I would be tempted to frame those beauties :)
I'm in a group that exchanges puzzles, so once they are done they get taken apart and passed on.
