Very lucky to have a house. It landed on the lP. gas tank. Filled 2 days before with 500 gallons of gas.
Can't find other pictures to scan them.But lost 10 trees in front yard. But in the county estimated 1 billion went down. Baby Sis and BIl said looked like it had been nuked. Straight line winds 100 mph+
WOW! I can't remember that we had bad windstorm then.Wonder how wideswept this storm was in Iowa. Matter of fact now I know we didn't.Wayne was in hospital bed set up in living room recovering from terrible motorcycle accident.If it had been most other years I couldn't recall it but I remember this particular summer vividly. sNs
Wish I could find the other pictures.I wasn't home when this happened. Cleaning house I will do this am.In laundry room in split level house-with the 2 cats.Trees flying by. Thought might have old time cellar -but better then this.Took me 40 minutes to get home-trees across all the highways. And I'm 9 miles from town. Was sick when I looked across bean field and seen this. But very lucky house on highway. Looked like doll house. Ripped on wall off.2 story house.
