    A ruby crowned kinglet has been here for 4 or 5 days now. I have managed a few photos of this female. I haven't had one on the deck for a few years now so this was nice.

    Isn't it wonderful when an old friend drops in to visit! Thank you for sharing the photo--I don't know if we get them here, but if we do I'll now be able to recognize the female.

    What a really cute little bird!! :-D I've never seen or heard of this species. They appear to be tiny - maybe around the size of our Firecrests and goldcrests.

    It is a small bird, perhaps the same size as a chickadee.
