My regular ol Orange Cannas are looking good. They are only allowed to grow along the front fence now... I had them in a a bed and they tried taking over. Hopefully I've dug them all out (yeah right!)

And this other one (also along the same fence). I'm not sure what kind it is. I dug it out from the river bank where I used to live. The leaves remind me of "Tropicana"... but the bloom doesn't since it's rather small.

Even small... it's a pretty bloom!

And around to the back yard, I was delighted to see TWO of the Daylily 'Black Plush' opened at the same time.

Cheryl, love the color of the Canna. I have some of the Tropicana Canna that are red and not very tall.

Mrs. G, take a look at all the possibilities http://www.day-lily.com/ ;)

Cheryl refers to me as the enabler for good reason :stew1:

Toni wow I had no clue, the more I get into flowers the more I'm surprised and overwhelmed. I'm in love with the pumpkin daylily, I have to go see the exact name again, peach and lavender colored. Tonights going to be a ooohhh honey (bat eyelashes) night.. hehe My fall back when I want something. :D

Yes... of course I looked at the link. Saw some I'd really like to add. But I promised myself no new daylilies this year. I even promptly threw away the "reminder" from the Daylily Farm so I wouldn't be tempted.

Toni... has your Tropicana bloomed yet? Does the leaves look like my "river" one?

I got these from a gal on the rEcycleDFW list about 5 years ago. She didn't know a cultivar name though.

The leaves look just like mine... but the flowers are so different. Oh well... one day I guess I'll solve that mystery.
By the way... your cannas are looking very good!

Mine haven't bloomed yet this year, the first photo is from JUne 2012 and the second is from June 2008.
