The first picture looks like wild garlic or an alium of some sort. No idea on the fluff balls I'm afraid.
I think the fluff balls are some kind of weed. I've seen them in the pasture at Mom & Dad's house. They have a little, yellow, dandelion type flower on them before they turn to fluff
I could have sworn that I replied to this topic. :-? Anyway Poppy your white, fluffy flowers are Fothergilla - probably Fothergilla gardeni. A member of the Hamamelis family indigenous to some of the central American states. Good autumn leaf colour.
