I just got 2 more terrariums done which are sold. I'd sure like to keep them! Great looking terrariums!! No wonder they are sold so quickly. They have all the right ingredients for a lot of fun. How large are they? It's a little hard to gauge. Jerry
You obviously have a real talent for making terraniums Okietriker. They are really lovely and I'm not in the least surprised that they sell so easily. :-D
Thank You! Ahh, well, really I just started doing them in the last couple of months. They just seem to be getting better the more I do. I want to do some narrow neck bottles but Frank has to make me a pair of tweezers yet to get that done.
Very cool... all of them. I have an old glass water jug... probably like 5 gallons... or whatever the regular size of those things are. Hubby said I should turn it into a terrarium. I just don't see how it could be done... unless, of course, I had one of your long tweezers!
When he gets mine made, hopefully this weekend, I'll try them and see how they work. They are made from a wire clothshanger. These will work for the old Quart Ball jar I'm going to use. I haven't tried the 5 gallon jug yet but those would need a real looong pair of thin tweezers. I have seen 18" ones selling on eBay. I may yet order one of those.
Here's a picture of the clothes hanger tweezers. Frank just made mine but I haven't tried them yet. They should work for the Ball glass jar I need them for. They may be too wide for a water bottle. You could try using a wood dowl rod. ( photo / image / picture from okietriker's Garden )
Those are really pretty. I made some long, long time ago. I would like to do one featuring Moon Valley Pilea. They used to have 5 gallon glass jars that were flat on 1 side. They had an opening big enough to get your hand in. Doris
I did 2 more this morning. Old Ball Jar ( photo / image / picture from okietriker's Garden ) Old Glass Coffee Pot ( photo / image / picture from okietriker's Garden )
