    All my peonies were free. I have never purchased a peony. Two were from a friends grandmother, one was from my grandmother, two were from my mother, one was from a trade, and one was from a seed that sprouted.

    I'm glad you posted pictures of your peonies as mine were destroyed by torrential rain. Seeing yours has managed to cheer me up.

    Beautiful blooms,..makes it nicer for you when they were presented by family,..not forgetting the one from seed.

    One is from seed!!!???!!! Wow! Was this mother nature, or did you have a hand in this? My favorite is the last peony, the single.

    The last one is from Mother Nature. I have several more growing. It takes many years until they bloom.

    Ah! So my favorite was bred by mother nature? It will be interesting to see if the ones that are still seedlings will be different.
