We actually had several sunny days. Seals and more seals on the rocks at Seal Rock Cove. Thought you might be interested it seeing what the trees look like with the ocean 'breeze' that blows every time we've been to this area. Plus us! .
Blimey that's a heck of a lot of seals isn't it? Now I can see how the place got its name. The scenery is beautiful and I can feel myself itching to explore the coastline and dabble in rock pools!! We have trees around here that look just like that. You certainly can tell which way the wind tends to blow can't you? I wonder just how many years it took to bend them that way? You two look relaxed and happy and I'm so glad you enjoyed your break away. Thank you for sharing your vacation with us.
Those trees tell a tale alright. Very interesting 2ofus. Great to see such a happy couple - thanks for taking us along on your trip!
What a vacation! You two certainly had a great time during your getaway. The Caribbean islands have divi-divi trees that grow like that--prevailing sea winds bend them all the same way, and when you stand on a promontory it looks as if someone "combed" the landscape!
Great photos and the seals are soooo cute. Netty, I think if you look really close you will see that one of the fence panels has been raised on the 'back side' of the platform, I don't think they are caged though.
Your right, Toni, the seals weren't caged. When we first saw them though I thought the same thing! I was surprised at how loud they were and how defensive of their spots on the wharf. When a new seal tried to wiggle in, the others were ready to defend their space. They were also very vocal and at times we had a hard time talking (yelling) over their noise. It was one of the highlights of the trip.
I enjoy seeing pictures of everyone's travels. I am a stay at home person and my husband doesn't mind at all because he did a lot of traveling when he was working....Beautiful photos..
2ofus----the scenery is very beautiful along the coast. When I was out there in 1993. I loved to walk on the beach's. You never knew what treasures, or wildlife one would find. We also went to an area that had a elevator that would take you down into a seal rookery cave. It was really interesting---but phew----what a smell greeted you when the elevator doors opened.
