Ha! To quote the Genie at the end of the movie Aladdan.... Made you look! ;)

Last Thursday I saw some funny stems coming up and remembered with great joy what they were and thankfully they didn't come into full bloom while we were out of town.Lycoris radiata (Naked Lady, Red Spider Lily)

Oooooh!! X rated flowers. :) I had to look up the origin of their common name...no leaves when they flower. They are attention grabbers.

I see them all over the place, even one over by my brother's storage building. I'm gonna have to go dig some up from one of my aunts'... they are so neat!

That would be fantastic, let me know when you are thinning them again. I have the whole front yard, half of the back yard and a 10'x20' bed beside the driveway so I can take any that you need to get rid of.

I'll pay the postage, don't have much of anything to trade right now.

I seem to remember a flower from my childhood being called a 'Naked Lady', in fact we have one that grows along our back fence. Strapy leaves, pink flowers.

I have tons of Amaryllis belladonna. I fooled around with them in the greenhouse for a few years. They didn't really do anything but get leaves so I planted them outside last year. Now they are still not doing anything.....maybe next year....
