Not of our wedding day, but next week will be the 9th anniversary of when my darling and I went on our first 'date'. We met on a boating trip in Wales - me with a group of my chums, him, a work colleague of one of them. He was seperated from his wife and trying to come to terms with it, I'm ashamed to say, I was with someone else - however, when we met, we hit it off more than I ever have with anyone. Within 2 weeks of our first date, we were living together, and haven't been apart since. My heart still beats a little faster when I hear him coming in from work. He still makes me laugh, and makes me cross, and we can talk for hours, or not say a word and be content with the world. We have 2 sproglets, and he has one from his previous marriage who comes to stay at weekends. I am blissfully happy. Just wanted to share my soppy news with you all.
I think everyone has a soul-mate somewhere and it certainly seems as though you've found yours in Mark EJ. Congratulations on your first date anniversary next week!!! :-D
Congrats EJ, ain't love grand. Richard and I met 34 years ago, love at first sight for both of us and we have been together ever since.
How wonderful for you EJ. And even if soppy, I liked reading your story. For Donna and I, it is 9 years as well. But we started late.
My Johnny and I were Sole mates indeed. He was the quite level headed one.I on the other hand was the loud emotional one.I had such a terrible temper.Jealous idiot .I saw my hubby mad really mad 3 times in almost 37 years.I had calmed down in all those years because he just didn't react to it.He passed away Sept 8 th ,1998.He was defiantly my better half.
How wonderful you had 37 years together. However I just can't picture you as one who has or had a temper. Not you!
