We have had absolutely perfect weather. Cool mornings with the mists lifting about 11AM with the temperatures getting into the low 80s F. No rain or cold that usually grays our summer days. Living in a temperate rain forest this is an unusual summer and today we went up to Lake Cushman that is bordered on the north by the Olympic Park. A friends boys attempted log rolling in the warm waters as well as swimming. Mastering the log ( photo / image / picture from Jewell's Garden ) Log mastered....for the moment ( photo / image / picture from Jewell's Garden ) Great day to be in the water ( photo / image / picture from Jewell's Garden ) I enjoyed visiting, sitting and reading and looking at the scenery. Barb, we have a small cabin in the area that we enjoy and occasionally rent out for weekends to friends. It is only 50 minutes from the house and 30 minutes from my work. I am doing some volunteer reading tutoring for a couple of students and we decided to meet up after tutoring. Netty, Sjoerd, Frank, I am thinking I should be up there doing my class studies (have to get more credits to keep my certification current). When I try to study at home I always start pulling weeds or get on the Internet to look something up. the Hood Canal and Olympic Mts. Can be very pretty, but I am partial to fjords and rain forests. Cherylad, the water was the perfect temps.
