The Allium giganteum. The flower heads are so small this year, probably because the bulbs have split. Last year we had three blooms, this year it's seven:



I wonder if these lilies are going to grow taller than they were last year. They're my height already:

Love what ya have blooming ! very pretty , in pics #13 and 14 do there foilage smell like garlic ?....i have some that bloom like that and there leaves smell like garlic ...i just never knew what there name was.

 

Thank you louisiana-blooms. You might have chives growing in your garden. Are the leaves round and hollow? They're an Allium too, Allium schoenoprasum.

 

yes there leaves alomost look like green oinions...larger ....are they ediable ?

 

If they're chives they are, but I can't say without a photo and a general description of the plant height etc.

I don't think that's chives at all. It might still be some kind of Allium but I don't know it. Hopefully somebody else does.

 

Droopy, is your big leaf plant Gunnera manicata?

You sure do have lots of nice-looking flowers showing their colours at the moment. Ther Alliums are looking particularly good.
The array of Aquilegias are quite delightful to look at..in fact, the dark purple and white one I had this year as a blow-in. It is gorgeous.
I wonder what that little bush with the white flower with it's purply heart is.
That Astrantia is developing into a gorgeous speciman. I'd like to see that one when it's fully open.

Oh Droopy, how wonderful your blooms are. I really like that blue aquilegia and the purple alium, although they are all beautiful. I like that little white flower you are sure of, it looks so delicate. Thanks for sharing.
