Cleaning the path outside the lottie a few days ago was quite a chore. It was loaded with grass and weeds between the paving stones. Now it is presentable, as if tidy folk garden here. Haha.

it took a few days: we worked on the strip in front of our gardens until we’d had enough. The next day the neighbour lady worked on it some and the third day we pushed on to the end of the sidewalk, over the “bridge”. The rest will have to be done by others.

We had also removed all the Limnanthes mixed with vogelmuur (Stellaria media):

We are about ready for a day off again now.

What a cleverly designed path. It is the spacious lined path with a plant variety of selections and good choices. It’s always a joy to see your plot at the lottie . ‘Neat as a pin”. so clean and tidy. I could eat off the stone path. I spy a garden decoration. Maybe a place for a candle at night or hold a floral bouquet from your garden. It looks as though all the hedges are trimmed with a spacious path in mind. I could live out there, in my mediocre imagination of course.

Your hired . I could use a good champion for garden care with a particular flair for what a weed Is and what is not. We have that chick weed here too, it’s a perennial and pops up everywhere at the end of July . And spurge is another devil of a weed that can really be a nuisance sprouting up with little concern of it’s neighbors.
“It’s better to be a warrior in the garden , than a gardener in a war”. Good job. :sete_005::smt023

    Pac—Thanks for those nice words.
A garden dec, you say? That thing is a water meter which shows me how much rain falls in the blueberry patch.
You ended your posting with a cool philosophic remark.

Sjoerd That is a fancy water gage so classy. Looks way better than any I ever had. I thought it might have held water … it holds rain water… I thought maybe others working in the area would add a fav flower or two as they passed by. Looks like a fancy vase to me. I would fill it up with flowers to drink the rain water for the sole purpose to advertise all the talented gardeners that set their summer goals to create and nurture a beautiful summer garden.

Some garden saying’s are classics. I like to remember the one that expresses in simple terms , the way we nurture our gardens is the way to nurture our family and friends. We share that sentiment a lot here in spades. :)
