A new baby arrived in the stables day before yesterday. He's adorable, of course, and totally irresistible too:

And the riding house is done, finally:

Today the first daffodil opened. I've got this feeling about it not being real, but it is:

Boy, this week has been good so far! :-D

Aaargh! Me want! Too cute for words.

Thanks for posting photos of your new pal Droopy. The riding house looks like it will come in very useful.

Frank, we've waited and waited for that riding house, and now we've started to wait for the big outdoors ring. :D We're not easily satisfied. At least we won't have to get drenched anymore.

Glendann, getting daffs this early is plain weird! But I love it all the same.

Awwwww I love new baby animals. Foals definately have that adorable factor don't they - all legs and eyes?!!! :stew2:

I'm really pleased that the riding house is now complete Droopy and I hope that you don't have to wait too long for the outdoor ring.

My daffs are all flowering but battling to stay upright in the gale force winds we're having. :(

Awww, what a handsome looking boy. I remember when we lived downstate we had some friends with horses. They would call us even if it was in the middle of the nite to come watch a baby horse to be born. It was exciting. May I hang on to your picture for a background??

Droopy, Congratulations on the new member of the family. I was raised around horses and it is an amazing sight to watch. Very best of luck with your new foal.

Thank you all for wonderful compliments. This foal isn't ours, but since he's in the same stables as ours we feel we "own" him a bit too. He's a Welsh Cob. Feel free to snatch any of my photos that you like, Petunia. I like sharing. :D

Eileen, hope the winds die down soon. Windy, wet days are the ones I dislike the most.

Droopy, thanks so much for sharing the pictures. That colt is so sweet. And WOW, what a riding house. I never got into riding but I've always admired them, they are such beautiful and powerful creatures. Congrats on the addition.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one going silly over a new baby. :D The people in charge want to have a week-end do to break in the riding house. I'm looking forward to seeing it with all the fences and stuff put in.

My neighbors are expecting 5 foals this spring, the first one due mid April. I just can't wait to see them!

At last, at last...the hall is ready. It's beautiful. You guys did a great job on it.
You know Droopy...I miss the stands for an audience to sit on. Is it just for members to ride in?
Of course now we are waiting to see pics of the first show/contest. When will that be?

The colt is a fine-looking thing. I'll bet everyone at the stables gives it alot of attention. It's difficult to make a bad foto of it, isn't it?

What's the status on the outside ring? Are there firm plans to build that as well?

Gosh, you folks sure are busy bees up there.
Thanks for posting the pics. They were nice to see.
