I got a piece of this Calla from one of my aunts 3 years ago. It didn't like where I originally planted it (too much sun). So I put it in a container. It gave me one small flower. So the next year I thought I found the perfect place to plant it... again, it didn't like it (not enough moisture?). So I moved it to this big tub and added more Callas to it.
    I think it likes it!

I think you've picked the right spot this time to get such a super sized flower. Maybe it was just company it wanted. It's certainly a real beauty and it's white. :D

Beautiful flower. Perfect for Easter. Finding the right place is the hardest part of gardening for me.

Cheryl, I have a theory that plants know when they are loved. Obviously, your calla knows it is loved! Your garen is stunning--such variety, so much color. Thank you for sharing it with us.

    Thanks everyone.
When I found out I was moving back to the house, I went on a mission to get plants from my aunts/uncles. I have something growing from all of them (that live nearby). And it just tickles me silly to see them doing well. Especially this Calla, from my Aunt Rosalie, since I've been trying to get it to take. I can't wait to tell her how it's finally doing good. :stew2:

Your Calla's beautiful. :D I'm so glad you found the right spot for it. I stick to callas as cut flowers since we can't grow them outside.

That is beautiful. HoHum--all I have to look at that is white in my yard, are the snow banks that are still here. I don't think they will be gone until the end of May. Oh well I can enjoy the flowers that others are now enjoying in their yards. :stew2:
