It all started well as we set off nice and early and got down there without any problems. As I was getting out of the car at the hotel I twisted the hip ( the one I'm waiting to get replaced.) I could hardly put my foot to the ground but thought it would clear up with a little rest. WRONG!! I spent the whole time in the hotel room unable to do much more than hobble to the loo. Sorry everyone but there's no piccies for you to see as I thought the inside of the hotel room would bore you all silly. We got back home late last night and now I'm trying to keep off my feet until I can ring to get an appointment with my GP. Until then I'm swallowing painkillers and trying not to do much of anything.
Oh drat, Eileen!! This is such bad news to hear. I feel bad for you, because a hip thing can be quite painful. I hope that you can get an appointment with your GP VERRY soon, although you may well need an orthopaedic specialist's eval. Just take 'er easy and be careful with those pain pills, Oké? Please keep us updated with your progress. Sorry that you vacation.
Oh, darn Eileen. Not the way to spend a nice weekend away. :'( And you didn't even get to check out the Lowe's in that city. Hope the GP can see you early next week. Do you have a nice tall stack of gardening mags and seed/plant catalogs to browse during your enforced rest time?
That's awful Eils, what a time for it to happen. Please rest up and we'll keep you company while you get back on your feet. All the best. /frank
Oh! you poor thing having to suffer like that, you must get it checked immediately. Go the the emergency room if your GP can't see you soon. Please take care.
For someone as active as you this must be pure Hades! So sorry it happened and that you didn't get to enjoy your vacation. As we say here in Texas, "Tarnation!" Please take care and don't stress your hip more.
And I was worried you would get stuck in snow or slide off the road on ice. At least those wouldn't have been physically painful. I hope you can get to see the doctor early on Monday. Don't these things always happen on a vacation or a weekend. Good healing thoughts coming your way. dooley
Oh.... fooey. A hip that sore is just no fun at all... I am so sorry it ruined your trip... and I too, hope you can get an appt soon. And some relief...
Dear Eileen, Please eat plenty of vitamins along with some milk products (like cottage cheese). Believe me, because it will heal everything faster. Also try some cord liver oil capsules (as they help with joints). Of course, the method which the Pakistani military uses with such injuries (with great success, plus it's totally free too)! Consists of just one choice: Either you forget about the pain, or we well break your other leg too (which will make you forget about the first one)... :-D Now you have been such a wonderful friend to us all over here at Garden Stew. Which is why, I dare not suggest that to you. So instead I again suggest that you start some multi-vitamins (with cottage cheese). Seriously: I can imagine how uncomfortable it must be for you. But please, do try to think of happy thoughts. Everyone over here is wishing the best for you.
Oh Eileen, what a time for that to happen, I hope something can be done to provide some relief. Wishing you well, Jerry
So sorry to hear about your twisted hip, it sounds very painful. Hope by now you have gotten in to see your GP. Feel better. Your replacement surgery sounds like it could bring relief.
