Still plenty to pick on the allotment this autumn. ( photo / image / picture from EJ's Garden ) James is very proud of his carrots, although this one decided to try and walk off the plot on it's own! James your carrot looks as though it could have won the 100 meters in the olympics!!! Looks as though you lot are going to be having a few tasty meals soon with all that lovely produce.
Thanks all. With all of those toms, I am going to make some Tamotor Chutney which is an indian spiced tom chuts. I will then cook down the rest and freeze for use over the year until the next lot kick in, summer 2010!!
beautiful goodies, EJ. Those are luscious toms. I think James' carrot should win "Most unique vegetable" award.
Wouldja lookit thaaa....! What a great harvest you are showing this time. You always grow the craziest carrots. hahaha. The butternut squash looks particularly good. The fact that you had to have a crate for your toms tells volumns about your tom success this year. All in all it was a varied and tasty-looking harvest...since mine is almost finished seeing yours makes me more than a little jelous. hahaha
