This Mum is really showing off this year. Has literally had blooms on it since early Spring. But now... oh boy! This is what I've been waiting for!

Here's a spot with some Zinnia's... the only one's that did good this year. And my lone Sunflower that I started about a month ago.

    Ain't it so cute???
I'm making myself a note to make sure to plant the sunflowers on time next year.

Your beds look terrific. That is a gorgeous mum. What's the palm like plant? Love its architectural look.

Your mum looks smashing especially against the pale colour of the surrounding stones. How I'd love to have something so bright and eye catching in the garden at this time o year.

Very pretty Cheryl. I like your big colorful Mum. All your plants look great! It's nice to enjoy nature's last blast of blooms before winter....

    Thank you everyone!
That Mum really surprised me by not only surviving the winter, but growing so well too. I guess I lucked out and planted it in the right spot.
Jewell & Cayuga.. that "palm-like" plant is Papyrus. I've got it in 3 different spots... which will turn into 2 spots as I dig out a clump this winter to make room for something else along the fence.
Sjoerd... that's the only mum that is established. I recently planted about 3 more. Sure hope they grow like this one!
