Neither wonder your bird is looking on and wondering what the squirrel is doing when he's got no chance of getting anything from the feeder. I just hope there's no way he can chew through it to get to the seeds.

glenndan, the female cardinal was up in the tree watching the squirrel. Eileen, the feeder is made of wire mesh, he will cut up his mouth before he gets into it. But he can shake a few out!

Heh, what a smart, little chap. He's got both a play thing and food there.

He was back out there this morning and he could only get about 1/2 way up it, then he would slide back down. One time he came down in a spiral. I think the crook was too cold. It was only about 10 deg F. at the time. We have gotten almost 5 in. of snow today. If he had stuck his tongue on the pole it would have froze to it ! :)
