    This is a different view of the same crepe myrtles. The darker one is blooming, too, now. They are in a row because I'm going to let them grow bushy so they hide the animal pens behind the orange fence. They are really coming along nicely.

    I planted them in November 2010. They were each 12 to 15 inches tall and rooted in small pots. I paid 50 cents for them. I think they were supposed to be 50 cents each but the man just charged me 50 cents for all of them. They didn't bloom in 2011 and just a few blossoms in 2012 but this year they have quite a few. I this year they will grow a lot more.

    They have their roots established this year and their growth each year should be astounding. So easy to take care of too....basically forget them and they will appreciate it. ;)
