We have put in some hours the past two days. We have cleaned the strawb beds and prepared the new ones for an order of plants to arrive next month. We disrupted and amended the soil, now it must reorganise itself underground. We had a bit of a clean-up along one of the fences. Here you can see the two strawb beds: We had a second horseshoe and decided to hang it on the outer shed wall. ...and then, in perspective: Then after a quick stroll around the allotment, there were discreet signs of hope: This bud has already begun to open: Allium ursinum has buds already. The budding beauty looks so good in a clump. But even better in the pan: Yeah, back at home I took a quick glance at the planted seeds on the bedroom windowsill. The Bride took a discrete clipping or two for a small idea of the garden in the house. We usually do not take too many flowers home from the garden, but now and then is permitted.
Sjoerd, we all enjoy going out to your garden with you and seeing what is popping up. Please tell the Bride that her arrangement of the three daffodils in that stunning vase is just perfect, perfect! Nosy me, I'd like to know if she studied art or took classes in flower arranging. Sometimes I try to replicate what I see, but with mixed results!
Thanks Marlin, I am glad you liked the report. I right away called my Bride over and let her read your posting. She thanked you for your compliment and chuckled, also saying that she just cut three daff buds in the lottie and chucked them into a vase at home. She further wanted to assure you that she has not had training in flower arranging, but thanked you sincerely. BTW that was a very nice thing you said.
