We are still getting freezing temps at night, but the indoor blooms are showing off again (despite my attempts at slow death for a few house plants.)

Lady slipper orchids have one pot doing well. The others the bark had turned to soil and almost slayed them before I realized. Oh well, new pots, new bark/soil and mini green houses until their roots take off. Good thing these are tough plants and aren't in need of roots.

The Christmas cactus bloomed at Christmas and is blooming again. What a pleasant surprise. The orchid that hadn't bloomed in years is also hanging in there. Orchids are marvelous in the way they hold their blooms for such a long time.

The daffodils are in full bloom outside and in the house. I am not letting the slugs have their fill this year and am bringing in bouquets to have the sweet smell and color. Enough to brighten any cloudy day. They make me smile every time I see them. I have a bouquet that greets me when I get home from work at the back door.

Lots to do outside as the sun begins to shine. It won't be long before plants start to jump out of the ground and show off outside.

Those are just beautiful, Jewell, the orchids are brilliant. I don't think I have seen either kind before.

They are all gorgeous... but the color on the LadySlipper is a real eye-opener.
I've been thinking about trying an orchid. You make it sound so easy.

Wow Jewel, great slippers... and you've got one for each foot!
    LOL
This is the only orchid I would TRY in my apt.
(You can tell I am not an orchid fan!)
    But I love these slippers.
