I haven't had much time in the past couple of days to look at the plants in the veggie or flower garden because of the planning and work associated with the laying of the new faucet line.

    Here are a few blooms.
    Lavender.

Your blooms are lovely, as always. :D Our Acanthus is just green leaves. Wonder if it will bloom this year. Your hollyhocks are so delicate. I like the way the colours soften from the middle to the edge.

Wonderful flowers. I am so jealous because I can't grow hollyhocks, our intense heat melts them. But I keep trying, one year I just might succeed.

What a lovely array of flowers you have now Sjoerd. Those red poppies really stand out amongst the other flowers. I can almost smell your lavender from here and those knautia are really something special.

All the flowers are beautiful, but I especially like the Acanthus. Are Hollyhocks in the Hibiscus family? You can tell I am a real plant expert!!

Yes they are KG, as well as the Malvas and Lavateras...there are 240 sorts of plants (perhaps more) that fall under the family, Malvaceae .

Whoopee Netty! It's lovely stuff, isn't it. Wouldn't you like to farm it like "the Hand"? What a wonderful fragrence that would be to have wafting through the air...and make money while you sniff. heh heh heh. Lovely.
