I like the Muscari. :D They propagate so quickly and are so undemanding to grow. Yours are really performing well.

Droopy, I looked up muscari. Also being 'grape hyacinth' that does sound more right of the name to this plant.

We call them "bead flowers" or "pearl flowers" in Norwegian. I'm so glad plants have Latin names or I wouldn't manage to talk about them in a sensible way without photos. :D

I love them and their fragrance...great cut flowers! Unfortunately, the squirrels/chipmunks have taken out all of mine. Now I just stick to daffodils (which are poisonous and they won't touch them).

I used to have just one patch of muscari but this year they're popping up in the stangest of places. I think the squirrels must have 'planted' them around the garden!! Beautiful flowers Petunia and such a 'true' blue. :stew1:

I'd never thought of them as cut flowers until I saw a floral arrangement that had HUGE ones mixed with daffodils. They must have been 8 inches tall. It was a sight to behold :p

Great picture!!! I'm very happy to have seen this post as I've noticed this flower (but in pink) growing in a hanging box... but hadn't found this flower growing at any of our garden centers.

Is there a different name for this flower or is it called "blue bells"?

It's called Muscari armeniacum - Grape Hyacinth. They are a bulb that should become available soon at garden centers for fall planting.
