One more shows some of the rock outcroppings....love rocks but they're hard to grow plants in. :)

I think you do a pretty good job of gardening. I love mountains and always seem to end up living where there aren't any. We did live in Arizona for 20 years though and they have lots of mountains.

Toni sold my words... WOW WOW....and WOWIE!
Gorgeous scenery. Looks like you have quite a lot of land to play on too.
I would be thrilled to have some slopes in my garden, but everything around here is FLAT.
Your herb garden looks great terraced like that.
Great idea on using the fallen trees to make that bed. How long do you think it'll last?
I think I'd spend a lot of time on that bench just soaking in all that beauty. But I might have to put a cushion so my butt doesn't get embedded with that pattern. :D
Jed looks like a sweetheart. I love doggies!

Oh boy I think I'll pack my bags and come and live near you!! What magnificent scenery!!
Your garden is something to be really proud of - if only mine were as neat and tidy. Your herb garden looks amazing - how long did it take to build it?
Jed looks as though he's enjoying your garden too. Many thanks for sharing your pictures with us all.

What an asset to the Stew you are! Great photos, and obviously great gardens. You live in a beautiful area, and are making it even more lovely.
Is Jed a Golden Retriever? He looks like he might be.
Thank you for sharing your gorgeous setting, and gardens.

Thanks everyone! The longshot pic of the mountains is from a drive to the orchard, posted it for Frank...wish it was from up here! :) We've got a decent view of the mtns., just from a little bit more of a distant. Have to hunt a pic of that.

Marlin, Jed is half golden and half lab. He's 14 now and doesn't hear well and is slower to get around, but still thinks he's a puppy! :)

Eileen, come on over! Or better yet, I'll switch you for a bit...I would love, love to see Scotland! The herb garden has been a work in progress for many years. You wouldn't believe how many materials I've lugged up that hill for paths and I'm still looking for that right fit. We've been on this land for over 25 years and I still have so much to do. Guess that is what makes gardening so much fun? :)...or so they say!

Cheryl, I'm hoping the the trees will last awhile. They're cedar so hopefully they will. Since the pic was taken, I made a gap in the long bed to get a wheelbarrow through....I got tired of climbing over to pick tomatoes! :) and I've shored up the beds with some lumber...wish I had good dirt. I didn't use the bench much...best laid plans and all....but I finally built me a "sittin" porch on the side of the shed and find I take a lot more breaks than I used to. Don't know yet if that will be good or not! :)

Dooley, I was only out west once through that area and loved it! The mountains are beautiful out there. I would love to see the Rockies one day. We have so many beautiful mtn. ranges in this country.

Donna, I'm always telling hubby "once I get this project done I'm going to sit back and relax for awhile". He doesn't even listen anymore. :) Guess we gardeners are all alike.

Toni, thanks! These mtns. are pretty neat...some of the oldest in the world with some of the most plant diversity. The park has a project to identify all the plant species and has just gotten a tiny bit recorded. Thankful that it is being preserved.
