Here is more coneflower blooming A new plant I bought - Persian Shield Strobilanthes dyerianus Here's a shot of one of the shasta daisy blooms to show you how big they are - my hand next to it
bloom I think it does bloom, but I bought it for the foliage. Check this site: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/516/
They're lovely! I like that dark foliage, it's a good contrast. Those daisies are really big, well done.
Pretty flowers. I find that little cone flower so dainty. I don't know this particular one. It's a nice colour as well.
I think your Persian Shield plant is lovely. It does produce flowers (purple pyramid shaped ones) but it's best to nip them out when they appear as they tend to leech some of the colour from the variagated leaves.
I love them all and your little fairy too! I want some foliage plants for my garden, I don't currently have any. But...that's going to change. Thanks for sharing.
The Persian Shield is gorgeous. My favorite color, but I like it for its striking leaves. They look almost iridescent.
I love that persian shield. I had never seen it before either . . . Thank you for the link also. I love shastas!!! PS I like your pic of the purple shield best . . .(compared to the link!)
